Your teen years are supposed to be the best of your life, full of new discoveries, fun times, and exciting challenges. But I lost a good few years between the ages of 10 and 20 because I was either asleep in bed or functioning sick due to Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS).

I have always said that it’s not what you go through that makes you the person you are, it’s how you react to the situation that you are dealt with that makes you the person you are. I have looked beyond my struggle and have found meaning in my life by helping others.

Now 24, my mission is to improve the quality of life for those struggling or anyone experiencing chronic illness by providing an online community to connect and engage and to offer a heart full of compassion to let others know they are important and cared for.

During these years of service to others, I have discovered that when you give, you receive. I am grateful for the blessings in my life, and I offer those interested the opportunity to bless someone else’s life by sending them a card in the mail on me. I enjoy helping others send a card to someone who needs to hear from them.

I have spent the past six years dedicating my life to raising awareness for Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS) in an effort to help other sufferers by raising funds for research, engaging and connecting with the community, and facilitating the KLS Foundation website. I am in the process of writing my KLS memoir. You can view a copy of the introductory section of my memoir here:

Due to KLS, I am not able to work a 9-5 job so my goal the past few years has been to work from home. After many years of hard work and study, I have accomplished my goal! I am launching my online card and gift store soon. Please connect with me at:

Keep on persevering if you are going through a life struggle! There’s light at the end of the tunnel!
