Alanna Wong was featured on the Doctor’s TV Show November 19th, 2014. Alanna shares her journey living with this Kleine-Levin Syndrome aka Sleeping Beauty Syndrome. Alanna shares a breakthrough treatment discovered by Dr. David Rye, Emory University School of Medicine’s Professor of Neurology and the Director of Research for Emory’s Sleep Program, that has kept her awake, healthy, and out of episodes. This treatment has improved Alanna’s quality of life tremendously. And the treatment shows promise for many hypersomnia patients. Alanna’s experience on the Doctor’s was life-altering! The doctors and producers of the Doctor’s Show could not have been better hosts. Every step of the way, the Doctor’s producers worked with Alanna and were understanding of her condition. They made Alanna and her mother feel very comfortable and their generosity was enormous. It was an experience Alanna will never forget! The following is the TV Show:

Alanna Wong was featured on Australia’s Sunday Night program. Rahni Sadler sat down with Alanna to talk about her experience with Kleine-Levin Syndrome. Alanna lived in Waikiki, Honolulu at the time of the filming and was re-building her life. Hawaii is a very peaceful place which is wonderful for healing. Alanna studied on her own, took daily walks, played tennis, and spent time with her sister and friends. In this documentary you will be able to see Alanna’s road to recovery. Alanna Wong, her parents, (Diane and Randy), and the Neuroradiologist that confirmed Alanna’s diagnosis of Kleine-Levin Syndrome were featured on Anderson Cooper in 2012. Her neuro-radiologist spoke about the changes that occur when Alanna is symptomatic and a-symptomatic.  At the time of the filming, Alanna lived in Waikiki, Honolulu. She and her parents flew to New York to help spread the word of Kleine-Levin Syndrome. The following is the documentary:

Alanna Wong was featured in a BBC documentary in 2008. During the time of filming Alanna lived in Seattle and was 18 years old. Alanna was experiencing constant Kleine-Levin Syndrome episodes during this time. The documentary was done to confirm or deny the diagnosis of Kleine-Levin Syndrome.
