Kleine Levin Syndrome (KLS) is a rare neurological disorder affecting approximately 500 known suffers worldwide. Because of its rarity, we need to rely on the generosity of others to raise funds. This Kleine-Levin Syndrome calendar features a different KLS sufferer monthly. Each participant has included a short description, quote, or inspirational viewpoint of their own. The funds raised from this calendar will go to support these KLS sites: The KLS Foundation, Support KLS UK, and KLS Life.
It is our hope that with awareness, research, and a better understanding of the illness, a cause and cure will be found. We cannot imagine another generation of sufferers having to live in this undesirable state for a decade of two of their lives. We need to find a better way to help those who suffer with this syndrome. And it is through the hard work of volunteers, through the compassion and love of others, and through the genuine concern for others this calendar was created.
